Submit

Write something, draw something or do something. Anything goes – if we like it, we’ll print it. Here are some guidelines for ya’ll:

WordsNonfiction, fiction, poetry, reviews and anything in between

We love to read all submissions about anything and everything. Before you submit a story idea or written piece, you can also e-mail one of our editors to find out what the upcoming theme is for the issue. This might help you tailor your story idea. Or, you could just say, screw it, and submit anyway!

Please note any special directions at the beginning of your submission document. If you’re writing in an alternative form (other than basic paragraph-by-paragraph), let us know. Is it a Q&A? Is it a work fictional dialogue that shouldn’t have any quotation marks? Is it a new and ingenious way of writing a movie review? Tell us, so that when the story is being laid-out, we’ll know how it is supposed to work.

Come up with a title. Just in case the first title doesn’t work, come up with another one. Include both at the top of the document. It doesn’t mean we won’t change it anyway, but it’s a good start!

Please make sure you include your full name in the document, along with an e-mail address by which the copy-editor can contact you during the editing phase.

Images - Photos, illustrations, drawings, paintings and scribbles

Please send us images in jpeg format at 72 dpi. Keep the combined size of your attachments under 1.5mb – if we decide we want to use it, we’ll get in touch and let you know how to send your high resolution images to us.

Don’t send us hundreds of images – if you have a lot you’d like to show us then send us a link to your blog or website.

Please make sure you include your full name in the image file name, as you’d like to be credited.

Just because we don’t use your submission in the next issue, doesn’t mean we won’t ever use it! Since every issue of Limehouse is themed, we try to pick pieces that work within the theme framework. What you submit might work for the upcoming issue, or we might decide to save it for later on. Either way, we’ll let you know.
